Whether you are a tech professional, an IT support provider or someone who is interested in investing in the area by hiring managed IT support for your business, it is important to know what’s going on in IT so you’re not blindsided by any new innovations or miss out on something that could really change your work for the better.

IT trends for 2015, in particular, revolve mostly around processing, storing and sharing data. Cloud computing is still, and will continue to be, the main topic among London IT support providers as well as those anywhere else in the world, as the technology slowly evolves and goes through the necessary transformations to ensure that it is adopted by businesses as well as individuals, since it is perceived as the best and main way to deal with what is called “big data”.

This year, however, cloud computing has become hybrid, with vendors as well as IT support providers working towards cloud storage adoption by allowing clients to use local servers and physical storage as well as remote clouds, as a bridge between physical and fully remote storage.

The “game” isn’t only changing on the vendors and IT companies’ end, though. Another trend in IT and IT support for 2015 is the emergence of more savvy and demanding client who wants things done to their convenience as much as possible. In this respect, IT customers are now demanding new and better channels of communication such as video conference and web chat which make resolving issues easier and quicker, so dedicated IT companies are expected to work towards providing those means of communication as much as possible to meet clients’ expectations.

As for the IT support companies, they are concentrating a big part of their efforts on analytics, as a way to deal with the aforementioned “Big Data”, which has been tormenting IT professional for what feels like forever now, as well as for the potential that they have in supporting new ventures, along with business intelligence. On top of that, analytics are obviously important to track performance, something that providers and clients should always try to be on top of.

Specific IT issues aside, however, the biggest IT support trend of 2015 is the new emphasis that companies are putting on efficiency by finding new ways not only to provide a better service which meets the clients’ needs as closely as possible, but also which puts the resources of their own organizations to better use, as is the case of higher-accountability, a model which prevents issues from being shifted around inside the provider company, thus stopping the waste of resources and providing clients with a much quicker and satisfactory solution to their problems.

The world of IT is one of innovation and constant change, and 2015’s trends in this area prove that professionals are aware of their strengths and shortcomings and are willing to put the best this vastly evolved branch of technology has to offer at the service of their clients so that they can truly become partners in their journeys towards success in their respective areas of business.
